Dr. Laura Brescia
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Dr. Laura Brescia has been practicing dentistry in Calgary for seven years and is happy to call this city home. She did her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Victoria and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario. She is a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College, the Canadian Dental Association and the Calgary and District Dental Society.

Dr. Brescia is known for her gentle and caring manner with patients.  Many patients who have been nervous about dental work in the past have been surprised to find themselves comfortable and relaxed with Dr. Brescia. As a mother of three young children, she has a special affinity for working with children and their families.

In her spare time Dr. Brescia enjoys running marathons, skiing, gardening, camping and hiking in the mountains with her family.

Our Staff

	Sabrena – Receptionist. Sabrena, our receptionist, has been with us for over three years. She strives to make each patient feel welcome and comfortable in our office. Her spare time is spent with family and friends.
	Carla – Dental Assistant. Carla graduated from SAIT in 2004 and has over six years of experience as a Dental Assistant. She has worked in Calgary her entire career and loves working in the dental field. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and going for walks with her dog along the Bow.
	Kelsey – Dental Assistant. Kelsey is the newest employee to join our team at Bridgeland Dental Care. She graduated Dental Assisting in Calgary at Columbia College. Bridgeland Dental Care is her first office and we feel fortunate to have her. In her spare time Kelsey paints, takes drumming lessons and walks herScottie in the mountains. She is looking forward to getting to know all of our patients.
	Sophia – Dental Hygienist. Sophia is one of our friendly Registered Dental Hygienists. She went to school at The University of Alberta and has been living in Calgary for almost 2 years. Sophia vacations as often as she can, trying different activities at every place she visits. She likes to snowboard in the winter and has been practicing yoga for a few years now and is still enjoying it.
	Jen – Dental Hygienist. Jen graduated from the University of Manitoba in Dental Hygiene, where she was recognized at graduation for her outstanding scholarship and leadership abilities. Originally from Brandon, Manitoba, she started her dental career in sterilization working for her dad, who is a dentist. She has always enjoyed the relationships formed through the one-on-one interactions with her patients and her dental team. Jen moved to Calgary in 2008 to join her husband, Serge. They enjoy downhill skiing, hiking and traveling whenever they can.
